Cambridge, UK - 23rd April 2026, BBI Cambridge hosted its annual Executive MBA thesis presentations last week, bringing together a diverse and accomplished cohort of students to present the culmination of their academic and professional journey. The event, held as part of BBI’s annual Cambridge meeting, highlighted the strength of collaboration between entrepreneurs and industry, as well as providing the global perspective that defines the programme.

A central pillar of this year’s event was the continued partnership with and hosting by AstraZeneca, whose long-standing support has played a significant role in shaping the Executive MBA experience. Through sustained engagement over the years, AstraZeneca has contributed to creating an environment where participants can engage directly with real-world challenges and industry insights at the forefront of commercialisation across the life sciences.

As in previous years, the thesis presentations reflected a broad and dynamic range of projects, spanning multiple therapeutic areas and other strategic domains across the breadth of the life sciences sector. Participants explored topics including drug development, market access, digital health innovation, regulatory strategy, demonstrating both depth of expertise and commercial relevance. The diversity of subject matter underscored the programme’s commitment to addressing current and future challenges across the healthcare and wider life sciences ecosystems.

This year’s cohort further reinforced the international nature of the Executive MBA, with participants representing a wide range of geographies, including the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and the North America. This global composition enriches the learning experience, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and enabling the exchange of perspectives across different healthcare systems and markets.

Throughout the programme, participants balance senior professional responsibilities with academic rigour, bringing immediate applicability to their organisations while contributing to broader industry dialogue. The final thesis presentations serve not only as an academic milestone but also as a platform for thought leadership and future innovation.

BBI Cambridge remains committed to developing leaders across the life sciences sector through programmes that integrate academic excellence, industry relevance and global connectivity. The continued collaboration with key partners, such as AstraZeneca, is instrumental in delivering impactful learning experiences and advancing the next generation of leadership in healthcare and more widely across life sciences.
