Bologna, Italy 2026. Following the success of its Rubik Scale Demo Day in London last year, Rubik Hub is further expanding its presence in the United Kingdom through a new partnership with Biotechnology Business Institute (BBI) Cambridge, a leading institution focused on developing future leaders in Life Sciences and Biotechnology.

The partnership strengthens international growth strategy and creates new opportunities for European startups building innovative solutions in healthcare, biotechnology, and medical technologies.

Global EMBA Scholarships for High-Potential Startups

The collaboration officially launches within Built to Scale – HealthTech Startups Demo Day, taking place on 25 June 2026 in Bologna, Italy, as an Official Side Event of We Make Future 2026, one of Europe’s leading innovation conferences.

The event will feature nine European HealthTech startups presenting their solutions and growth strategies developed through an international program focused on turning innovation into scalable, investment-ready companies.

As part of the partnership, the Biotechnology Business Institute Cambridge will award three scholarships for its Global EMBA in Life Sciences programme: one full scholarship and two partial scholarships. The initiative is designed to support the next generation of founders and give them access to world-class expertise in business, leadership, and management within the Life Sciences sector.

Beyond the scholarships, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting high-potential startups and connecting them with the resources and networks needed to scale internationally.

New Opportunity for the Rubik Hub Community

As part of the new partnership between Rubik Hub and Biotechnology Business Institute Cambridge (BBIC), three startups from the Rubik Hub community will be invited to a dedicated event in the United Kingdom, offering direct access to investors, industry leaders, and potential international partners. The initiative strengthens ties between Central and Eastern Europe’s innovation ecosystem and one of the most established global Life Sciences hubs.

The UK - Poland Life Sciences Summit will take place on 16 September in London, at the Polish Hearth Club (Ognisko) in Kensington. The event is being organised by Biotechnology Business Institute Cambridge in collaboration with the Polish Embassy, UK trade organisations, NHS representatives, Polish government agencies, and leading investors from the life sciences sector.

The summit will bring together stakeholders from the UK and Central & Eastern Europe to foster cross-border collaboration in Life Sciences, biotechnology, and healthcare innovation.

The three selected startups will have the opportunity to pitch their solutions in front of a curated audience of UK investors, industry leaders, and key ecosystem stakeholders.

All presentations will be evaluated by a judging panel, and the selected winning startup will receive a scholarship to the BBIC Life Sciences EMBA Programme.

Why This Partnership Matters

The HealthTech sector is growing rapidly, and startup success increasingly depends on access to international markets, deep domain expertise, and strong investor and industry networks.

Through this partnership, Rubik Hub reinforces its role as a bridge between European startups and global innovation ecosystems, enabling founders to access the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to scale internationally.

The collaboration also underlines Rubik Hub’s strategic focus on expanding its HealthTech and Life Sciences vertical through dedicated programs and international partnerships.
