The BBI Cambridge UK - Poland Life Sciences Summit Strengthens International Collaboration and Showcases Emerging Innovation.

London, United Kingdom, September 2026. The UK - Poland Life Sciences Summit brought together leaders from across the life sciences ecosystem for a programme of strategic discussions, company presentations and networking, focused on strengthening international collaboration and creating opportunities for innovation, investment and business development.
Organised by the Biotechnology Business Institute Cambridge (BBI Cambridge), the invitation-only Summit connected industry executives, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, healthcare professionals and institutional representatives from the United Kingdom, Poland and the wider European ecosystem.
The programme addressed key opportunities and challenges shaping the sector, including internationalisation, intellectual property, regulatory developments, investment, commercialisation and the development of strategic partnerships. Company presentations provided an opportunity for innovative businesses to showcase their solutions and engage with industry leaders, potential investors and prospective partners.
A special acknowledgement goes to the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme for its valuable insights into clinical innovation and entrepreneurship, contributing to discussions on how scientific and healthcare innovations can progress towards practical applications and commercial opportunities.
BBI Cambridge also extends its sincere appreciation to the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, and the Ambassador for their support and engagement in fostering stronger connections between the UK and Polish life sciences communities.
The Summit was supported by three sponsors whose expertise contributes to the development and internationalisation of life sciences businesses: Global Regulatory Services Ltd (GRS), supporting companies in navigating regulatory requirements; Marks & Clerk, providing intellectual property expertise; and Frazier & Deeter UK LLP, bringing financial, tax and advisory capabilities to the life sciences ecosystem. Their support helped bring together the expertise required to address the scientific, regulatory, commercial and financial dimensions of innovation.
The company pitching session was another key element of the programme, giving emerging businesses the opportunity to present their solutions and receive feedback from an experienced jury. BBI Cambridge extends its appreciation to Professor Tony Young OBE, Christian Kumar, Ionuț Țăță, Rami Wakim and Mark Treherne for contributing their expertise, perspectives and constructive feedback to the participating companies.
Networking was central to the Summit, enabling participants to exchange perspectives, explore potential collaborations and establish relationships across organisations and markets. The discussions and connections developed throughout the event highlighted the importance of bringing together innovators, investors, industry leaders and institutional representatives to support international business development.
The Summit also recognised entrepreneurial achievement through the Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards, celebrating WakeZ, RayScape and iYoni Med. Their recognition highlighted the importance of supporting ambitious innovators developing solutions across the life sciences and healthcare landscape.
BBI Cambridge thanks all speakers, presenting companies, jury members, institutional representatives, sponsors, partners and attendees for their contributions to the Summit. Their engagement helped create an environment for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange and the development of new professional relationships.
By bringing together scientific expertise, entrepreneurial ambition, industry experience and investment perspectives, the UK–Poland Life Sciences Summit reinforces its commitment to building international partnerships and supporting the translation of innovation into sustainable commercial growth and positive healthcare impact.
